Winter breaks
AUTUMN AND WINTER BREAKS 2008/2009
Why not take advantage of the magnificent changing scenery and quieter roads, and visit the Highlands this winter. See the towering mountains in all their glory, with purple heather carpets and snow topped peaks. Wildlife is also often easier to spot as food is scarce and animals are forced down from the lofty peaks. Our luxury Log Cabins are fully centrally heated and double glazed, and are beautifully furnished with new leather sofas, Tv and DVD players.
There is plenty to do – walking, golf, whisky tasting, fine wining and dining, sightseeing etc, etc. On days when the weather is a bit inclement (yes, it occasionally does happen), visit the near-bye historic city of Stirling – Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument are the 2 top local attractions.
The winter months are the most likely time to see more wildlife around the park. We often get deer coming in through the winter months to graze on the grass. We've also had sightings of a wild mountain goat
