Stirling CastleHolidays are all about family time and with a wide range of activities and adventures there is sure to be something that will keep even the most demanding of children entertained.

Go Ape is an award-winning high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, Tarzan Swings and zip slides up to 40 feet up in the trees. Appealing to a wide age range, customers are fitted with a climbing harness, given instructions, and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor (over 10's only).

The Scottish Wool Centre features a sheepdog school show and offers seasonal activities throughout the year.

At Crieff Hydro Hotel we have negotiated for our guests to enjoy all the facilities for a small charge (£10.50 for adults, £7.50 for children) – they have a sunken Victorian Spa with sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room (adults only), a main swimming pool with children pool also with steam rooms etc (all welcome), state of the art gym, cinema, childrens creche and kids club, pool and snooker room, croquet, tennis, bowling, crazy golf and much more. They also offer horse riding, 4x4 driving and golf for an additional (discounted) charge, and those in need of pampering can visit the Hair and Beauty Salon.

Masses of tables and benches for picnics. You can also enjoy a delicious meal in the Ranch Kitchen and even adopt an animal. All in all a great day out.

Next door to Blair Drummond is Briarlands farm. Next door to Blair Drummond, a working farm with outdoor children’s activities including pedal carts, jumping pillows and  a zip wire. Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a family friendly wildlife centre, with plenty of highland cows. Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is set in 100 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside. In addition to the wide variety of animals and birds is an indoor playbarn with real tractors, swings and sandpit. Outdoors a large play area with 'flying fox' will keep the kids (big and small) entertained for hours. You will also find the Falconry Centre, Pine Lodge Café, Gift Shop and unique wild bird hatchery; hatchings from Easter to October. Open daily 10am until dusk.

 

Loch Katrine & Sir Walter Scott Steamship offers a journey back in time; on the Sir Walter Scott Steamship you will visit an area of the Trossachs that inspired Sir Walter Scott to write 'The Lady Of The Lake'. Or why not hire a bike or bring your own and cycle the pathway alongside the loch and enjoy a picnic amongst the splendid scenery.

Stirling Castle is one of the top Scottish attractions, along with the National Wallace Memorial.
